HOW WE PUBLISH
Editorial Standards
FutureCentral publishes intelligence, research and learning material about AI and its effects on industry. These standards guide how we develop, check, publish and update that work. Readers should be able to distinguish evidence from interpretation, and an available resource from a planned one.

Editorial responsibility
FutureCentral is founded and run by Austin PM, a professor and entrepreneur who teaches AI, data science and sustainability. He is responsible for editorial decisions and the review of material published under the FutureCentral name. Read more about FutureCentral and its founder.
Sources and verification
Important factual claims should be traceable to identifiable sources. We favour primary records: research papers, official data, regulations, company disclosures and original documentation. Secondary reporting can provide context, with attribution.
Before release, we check material facts, numerical claims and citations against their sources. We separate reported findings from our analysis and make assumptions, uncertainty and evidence limits clear. Examples and estimates should be labelled; a company claim should not be presented as independently established fact.
AI assistance and human review
AI tools may assist with research preparation, drafting, editing, coding and visual production. They do not replace editorial responsibility. AI-assisted material requires human review, and source references, quotations and factual claims must be checked rather than accepted from a model response.
Material use of AI that affects how a reader should interpret a work should be disclosed with that work. We do not treat AI output as a source of evidence or present generated examples as observed events.
Research, teaching and publication
Our development approach connects research, teaching, observation, refinement, verification, publication and updates. Where material is used in teaching, classroom questions and feedback can help improve its clarity and practical value.
We identify original frameworks and explain their basis and limitations. Classroom use, institutional adoption and research results are described only when they can be supported. Teaching use does not by itself establish independent validation, and not every article has been tested in a classroom.
Corrections and updates
Readers can report a possible error with the page or publication title, the passage concerned and supporting evidence. We review the report and correct substantiated errors. Material corrections should carry a dated note explaining what changed; minor spelling and formatting fixes may be made without a note.
Articles and research should show dates and the scope of significant revisions. Books and teaching resources should identify the relevant edition or version, with errata where appropriate. A publication date is not a guarantee that every detail remains current. When evidence changes, we revise the affected material or make its limitations clear.
Commercial relationships
Sponsored content and material commercial relationships should be clearly identified. Sponsorship does not give a sponsor control over editorial conclusions. Promotional claims and offers should be distinguishable from independent analysis.
Availability and status labels
- Available: the named publication or resource can be accessed through the stated link or route.
- Classroom edition / in academic use: describes a specific teaching version or supported use; it does not imply a commercial edition is available.
- Forthcoming / in development: work is planned or underway. It is not a current offer, and dates are stated only when confirmed.
- Student resources / teaching package: listed only when the specified materials exist and their access conditions are clear.
Course pages should distinguish interest registration from enrolment. Research projects in development should be distinguished from published findings. Prices, formats and access conditions belong with the relevant offer when it becomes available.
